Woodwood Door Controls Ltd

WDC was founded in 1996 by John & Jean Woodward who previously owned Macwood London Limited formed in 1972 which was subsequently sold to the Elementer Group in 1994.  John and Jean were joined by their three sons, Phil, Graham and Chris fairly soon after incorporation.  Together they formed a strong team.  In 2004 Graham took over as Managing Director as John stepped down from the role.  Soon afterwards WDC acquired Cloakroom Solutions Ltd a bathroom fittings business and in 2007 acquired FASS Security Ltd a hardware company to create a strong and expanding group.

Woodwood (Door Controls) Ltd are a leading provider of Macwood door control products, including under floor door operators, overhead door operators and automatic door locking systems.

Macwood door control products have evolved over the last 30 years as a result of close co-operation with architects, developers and building owners. The policy has always been to create a product which meets the building needs, satisfies the requirements of current legislation and yet in no way compromises the essential aesthetics of building design.

Macwood Door Control Products for All

Macwood products include automatic and low energy door controls to promote access for all, ‘Fly-Open’ door and window operators for smoke ventilation, door hold-open devices, fail-safe air driven bolts (including one for rail-less glass doors), interlock assemblies, spark free controls for hazardous areas and a host of ancillary items. All products can be integrated into complete systems where required and can be linked into BMS/ access/ fire controls.

Air driven products are clean, quiet and reliable. In fact, where fail-safe or low energy operators are required, they have no equal. It is our firm belief that, as more and more designers come to recognise the benefits attached to air products, they will specify them for use in almost every building of importance.
